| Kafr El Sheikh Governorate Sewerage Project |

GITEC is working for the „Kafr
El Sheikh Governorate Sewerage Project“. As Client for the
project the National Organisation for Potable Water and Sanitary
Drainage (NOPWASD) is acting. The project is financed by German
Financial Cooperation through the state owned bank
Kreditanstalt fuer Wiederaufbau.
The value of the services amounts to 2.1 million US$. Actually
the constrution phase is carried out. The project shall improve the sanitary situation in 15 villages of the Kafr El Sheikh Governorate with a total population of about 280,000 inhabitants in the projected year 2010. The project comprises the construction of 176 km of gravity sewers DN 150 to DN 700, 40 km of force mains, 22 sewage pumping stations, 11 sewage treatment plants (10 with oxidation ditches, 1 with lagoons) and 29,000 m inter connection lines for house connections including inspection chambers.
