| Boulaq El
Dakrour, a newly developed urban area around the original
villages of Zeinein and Boulaq, is marked by severe overcrowding
and insufficient supply with infrastructure and services.
The mission was
to assess opportunities and conditions for infrastructure
investments in support of an ongoing German Technical Assistance
pro-gramme engaged in participative upgrading measures. |

Services |

Project Appraisal Mission:
Secondment of a technical expert for the assessment of financing
opportunities within an ongoing urban upgrading programme.
- Identification of physical
upgrading require-ments in an urban area with approximately
0.4 million inhabitants
- Formulation of an upgrading
concept for the areas services: roads, water supply,
sanitation, solid waste removel
- Co-operation with municipal
authorities on im-plementation issues
